I have a 2021 TRD/ORP with 1,000 miles on it. I'm going to change the stock Dunlap tires to the B.F. Goodrich A/T's. Is there a reason I would need a front-end alignment after installing and balancing the new tires ? Thanks.

    Hello Rick,
No you don't need an alignment. Which size of the Bf Goodrich KO2 you are going to put on your wheels?

Not unless your current tires show signs of an odd wear pattern... but at only a 1000 miles, that's pretty unlikely either way.

But no, should be no reason to do an alignment.

LOL I know it was a somewhat silly question. I was confident there would be no need. I ask just in case. Many friends have told me that many of the larger, independent tire stores are always trying to convince them to get a front-end alignment. No mater what type of service they are there for.
I understand the need after most type of front-end work like strut replacement, abnormal tire wear, etc. But not for a tire change or brake job.
I mention this because it's not just one shop, but all of them. Strange.

I'm going to replace the Dunlaps with the KOA's in the standard tire size. Works for me. Just trying to decide if I want to have the front and rear valances black, or keep them silver. I don't dislike the silver. It's an OK contrast against the Magnetic Grey Metallic. I'm not planning on black out over the chrome pieces. So leaving the silver valances should be OK. I guess I just need to look at a couple photos of others to decide. Hmmm

    Rick
