The headliner is the worst. It takes forever to get those out! The struggle is real.

That is the exact place our GSD stands & his head is constantly touching the headliner. Only clean yearly. You have to pick your battles!

Took a moment to go over all of the recovery equipment I've gathered so far....and promptly purchased a duffel bag to stash most of it in.

The canvasback is one of the best additions (IMO) definitely saves the day for me with my 2 boxers riding along all the time (1 white and 1 brindle).

Made it to our happy place and after a few years of telling my daughter she needed to learn to drive on the beach, she finally asked. After a good stretch she says "this is so much fun,I want one."

Made some cross bars for 30$ all in. Still lack the finishing, cutting off corners sandblasting and paint etc. needed some extra strength for the road shower, awning and Thule box till my rack comes in. Since gobi digs there own ore mills and molds there own steel by hand. And takes plenty of breaks inbetween.

Bolted on my storage box and Tred boards.
I don’t think I will leave them both on all the time but I want to see how much wind noise I get.

A week and a half after ordering my cali-raised sliders, they show up last Thursday. Not bad! I was expecting their quoted 4-6 weeks.

    07F83FFC-77BC-423B-9493-EED73D4CB74A.jpg

A few blemishes here and there from shipping, but nothing very noticeableD834348D-028E-41D0-8EEE-B351949266E4.jpg

These weren’t as fun and carefree to to install as youtubers make it seem, but not the worst thing ever. Had to install the drivers side twice, because three of the hole were misaligned by 2mm or so. So I had to mark the areas, take it back down, and spend an hour hand filling the holes so they would fit.

Here you can see how much trimming the front two slots needed (dont mind the Fluid Film)EDCAC727-991B-4E27-812A-47B4D35C279A.jpg

The other slider required no fitting at all, just bolted right on.

Im happy with the end result though. It looks good on the truck. And it’s nice and solid. My buddy is already prodding me to do a “practice recovery” by hi-lifting it by the bar. But Im not sure if Im ready to test i yet lol. Has anyone here proven the cali-raised slider are capable as a lifting area for a hi-lift?

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Looks nice. I'm still waiting for my sliders... I won't name names just yet, but I wish I went with Cali-Raised looking at how you got yours so fast. I paid for mine in February.

Finished the anytime backup camera installation today. On the first install attempt everything went good but the rear camera would not work. A little frustrating to say the least. Troubleshot the issue and replaced the bad RCA plug on the new harness. Its alway good to have a box of old plugs and adapters laying around. The premium, LOL, camera has to be crooked to view straight. It sticks down in front of the TSS sensor but does not cause an issue.

But with all that, Im happy to have this installed. It solves a real visability issue with the vehicle. No more blind driving over rises. Also since I usually dont have a spotter while 4 wheeling, this gives me a view almost straight down from the front bumper which is pretty huge.

Took off the bumper for the first time putting in new headlights. It was so cool seeing the 4Runner without the bumper cover.

Watching this, I was looking at the venture rack but the price seems excessive for aluminum cross bars. It seems like learning to weld would be cheaper lol

How was the install? This rack looks awesome, you found a sweet deal! The venture rack seems like less rack for the same price, and the LFD looks sooo good
