Happy to be aboard. I just got my 4R. Used with 12k. Named her "Blue." Came with decent wheels. I added a skid plate. Only concern right now is the tires that came on it: Bridgestone Duelers HT. Going on an three or four day trip off-road. Trail is called "Shadow of the Rockies." Starting in El Paso.

Updates on tires and trip to come!

Ahhh the Duelet HT's,,,I have a love/hate relationship with those tires.
They are fine on dry pavement, dry trails, they are bad in mud and snow.
I looked at replacing them and found out they are actually quite expensive tires. All the tires I looked at were in the 200 dollar range and the Duelers are too. I would run them, just dont go into any deep wet stuff

Welcome and great looking truck. The blue is a nice color and you don't see many of them. Also really like the combo of an SR5 (no fake hood scoop) with the ORP wheels, which IMO look excellent and which get props from the serious off roaders on the forum.

I hear you on the Duelers HT. That's what came stock on my 2020 Limited. Based on tests and user reviews, they're pretty poor at anything but dry conditions. I had mine in the snow recently and was disturbed by how easily the ABS came on when braking, even gently and from low speeds.

The Toyo AT3 looks super good to me, and folks here who have them have posted very good reviews. That's what I'm thinking for my next set. Another great choice seems to be the Michelin Defender. It's more road oriented than AT, but has good reviews in off road use too.

A lot of folks around here who do a lot of real off roading go with KO2s and Wildpeaks, but you also see a lot issues with balancing them, leading to shaking at highway speeds. This is prob especially the case when upsizing, which is also a common practice, since of course that means you're adding a lot of weight on what is already a heavy tire.
