I'm not sure what the official name of this process is, but my 2011 4Runner has gone a good part of last year without power. (Battery disconnected)

Everything seems to be working fine except for the rear left window. When you roll it up manually or using Auto, it hits the top of the window seal and abruptly rolls down again to about 1/3 of the opening. I know this is a programmed travel distance that likely just needs resetting. It seems to only affect one window. I can't seem to figure out the process to retrain the window where the top is. If you roll the window up manually, it still drops back down. Can someone direct me to the documentation on how to fix it?

If I recall, roll it up manually and keep the button in the up position for 5 seconds. Do the same thing for down. That should retrain it.

Thanks. I had found something that suggested that, but as soon as the window gets to the full "up" position, it hits the top with a thump and abruptly rolls back down. I was doing this from the driver's window controls. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I may give it another try in a little while.

1-roll the window all way down, 2-roll all way up while holding up button, 3- keep holding for about 3 seconds, 4-check auto operation. G.L.

I tried it from the window itself and not the driver controls...not sure if that was the difference, but going down and holding it then up and holding it fixed the issue. I had this happen once before, but it didn't fight me as much that I can remember. (it's been about 6-7 years)

    Thanks!
