Alright, went to the alignment guy today who I believe is pretty competent. He definitely seems to know what he’s doing. While there he advised that he wouldn’t be able to achieve correct measurements due to my stock UCAs. For a second opinion I spoke to Jeff from westcott designs who assured me the alignment could be achieved with stock UCAs. Well now I’m here asking you guys for a third opinion. Check out another shop??

How tall is your lift up front? How much positive caster are you hoping to achieve?

Ok I googled it. So it's a 1" to 1.5" front lift, which is more or less the same thing they put on the Pro right? Do the Pro's come with the same UCAs as the other trims? I'm guessing they do, so I would try another shop.

    Yes

OP, stock UCAs should be good for up to around 2.5+/- inches. Some guys are damn near 3" on stock UCAs and report acceptable alignment. I'm at 2.5" and perfect. 1.5" should be a piece of cake.

Seek another shop. There is no reason the proper alignment can not be reached at the height your lifted. We went with aftermarket UCA's at 3'', we wanted to be able to be more adjustable on castor rather than be maxed out on the stock UCA's. Just find another shop, I'm sure the guy you went to does good work, but sometimes when something a little different (4Runner) roles in the door they freak out 'cause they have very limited experience or none with the 4Runner.

Agree with everyone else. There's no reason he shouldn't be able to get proper specs from such a wee lift.

With a 1.5" lift height, the max caster you should be able to get with stock UCA's is somewhere around +3.6 degrees which is on the higher end of spec. That's what I have with a 1.6" lift in front and stock UCAs.

Thanks guys. Looks like I’ll be hitting another shop. Figured this would be the answer but I had to ask the all stars
