True. I'm the only one that ever drives the GX so I've used the memory feature like 3 times. I'm also always cold and use the heated seat 90% of the time lol!

The adaptive cruise and carplay are big for me to be honest.

Memory seats and keyless entry for the 4Runner please. Otherwise I choose the 4Runner every time. Better approach angles & no "Lexus" badges.

I have been contemplating trading mine in for this very reason. Vroom estimates they will give me $41k, Carvana $39k, and Carmax $38k. I purchased it for $34,494 in August 2018 and just hit 33k miles. I rarely use the OR equipment or the 4wd system. The pragmatist in me says to trade it for a 7-8 year old Lexus RX350 and pocket $10-$15k. The emotional side of me loves the T4R though.

    Welp, had an eventful weekend.

    Traded my 2019 Tacoma for a 2018 4R ORP w/kdss.
Paid $2k +ttl into the deal. (They had it listed as an offroad, no mention of KDSS, score)

Vroom went from $39.6k on Taco to $42.8k on 4R.

Now just gotta find a 2021 to trade to complete this process :p

Picked up a white Trd Pro on 5/4 at sticker , just put a deposit on a Lunar Rock on 5/22 at sticker but getting 2k more on trade for the white one. 7k swing the way I see it. Currently at auction Blk & White are bringing 59k and lunar rock are bringing 64k.

Luckily one of the local dealers doesn't markup anything over list price. Bought the white because I didn't think I would find a Lunar anywhere and the trade on my 16 F150 was crazy. Kept looking to see if any dealers in my area had any coming. Luckily the Lunar popped up at a old school dealer about an hour from me. They were just notified that day they were getting it. If you want a lunar don't wait 21 production is about over from what I'm hearing.

Any chance you can PM the dealer? Maybe I’ll get lucky too haha or at least in that area.

So I have a sight unseen offer from a Lexus dealership for a vehicle swap plus they will pay me $16k. It’s a 13 RX350 AWD. One previous owner, lived in the south, less than 60k miles, no accident history, and serviced just about every 5k miles at the dealership that it’s being sold at. Records show that the tires, rear struts, and fluids were all just changed/replaced. I’m split on the decision, because I love the 4Runner, but I never use the off road functionality on it. I bought it for $34,494 in August 2018, so technically I’m making money on it. Also, $16k is a lot of cash for a slightly older and higher mileage vehicle. I’m leaning towards doing it, but wouldn’t mind getting some input. Thanks!

Go with the vehicle that best suits your longterm needs. Then keep it, and over the long haul it will make you $.

I would do it. I love my 4R and wouldn't trade it for a Lexus ever, but if you don't use it and you like the Lexus then its a smart decision.

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up making the transaction. The dealership gave me $39,176.50 for the 4Runner, in case anyone was wondering. Honestly, I probably sold myself short some, because they really didn’t hesitate. 18 TRD OR (non-premium) with 33k miles. No customizations or add one other than floor mats. This was in Greensboro, NC. Anyways, I now have a DIY platform available if anyone wants it. This was built on either 1/2” or 3/4” ply to level the back of the T4R when the seats are down. It’s a flush fit and upholstered in a smoke/black carpet. I car camped with it multiple times and it was perfect for leveling the back. If anyone is interested I will provide pictures. I’m in Charlotte, NC so you would have to be willing to pick it up. Thanks again!

Had to check current inventory & prices. Not single Pro in our metro area.
Does this pricing make sense to anyone? The nightshade seems the best deal. Especially if they are a 2 yr option!

Well I had to take the offer. Money talked. Been 2 days and miss the heck out of it. Driving GFs extra car (not fun) but paid off all credit, no more payments and can save to buy a new runner…..depending on what the next gen turns out to be

I looked up KBB for that truck & it says $24-$26k. A bit less than they are asking.

That’s not bad, about 20% over book value, they will have 100 folks fight to buy that at such a great deal. I’ll be happy paying MSRP for something new. I wonder how much MSRP will go up on vehicles next model year.
