    Hello all,
Selling our daily driver SR5 Premium Package 2WD with 288,2xx miles. What is a fair asking price? Not sure how to post photos if someone would like to tell me how. I’ll provide any more information if you need it to let me know what she’s worth.
    California car, clean title.
    TIA

2WD usually sells for cheaper price than it's 4WD counterparts...come up with a ball park figure...and see what you think...in case your asking price IS NOT FIRM, allow yourself some room to bargain with...goood luck with the sale

IMO, depending on condition and configuration a 2WD goes for from $3500 to $7000. With about 5k (give or take) being the typical number i see on CL. You know the saying tho, the value of something is what someones willing to pay for it.

I know that truthful saying well. That’s why I’m asking now. I must have it over priced. It’s in typical condition for it’s age, worn but straight and clean. It’s listed in FB Market Place for $6300 OBO. (Shooting for 5). In two weeks have over 180 views, only 1 reply asking if it’s 4WD. It’s also listed on CL with 0 replies.
My son sold his gen 2 with over 360k and lots of issues wrong with it. A non mechanic like us could easily dump a couple grand into it. Also listed on FBMP for $1800 OBO. Got over a dozen replies first hour and sold in two. It all happened so fast he disappointedly concluded “I could of sold that thing for way more”.
What should my next move be? I know to lower price, but should I edit price on existing post after being viewed so many times or remove it completely for a week then start over?

That’s what I figure will happen if I put it up for 5k. That’s why I put it at 6.3K hoping to get 5. But clearly my strategy is wrong.

You have a lot of miles and its 2wd, if you had 4wd you could probably get that. I just paid 6500 for my 97 4x4 with locker in socal with 210k miles

Just bought a 2002 Sport Edition two wheel drive with 244k for $5k. No rust and one owner. I'd say mark it to $5800 and aim for $4800

That was those low miles at work. Even though we know mileage can be irrelevant, many still use that as a justification for pricing.

Ebay it first at that $5k

You may be surprised. It costs like $25 for an ad on ebay and 12 pictures. Just be aware to check the box for local pickup only.

I've had good luck finding both parts and /or / vehicles on craigslist, and facebook market place. Ebay, is getting a tad long in the tooth..
