Hello! New member and just purchased a 2021 4R SR5.. plan to use it on the beaches of Cape Hatteras National Seashore for fishing and relaxing. I have a quick question

I was stopped on an incline on a steep drive way..when I took my foot off the brake and began to roll backwards. When I went to accelerate and press the gas there was no acceleration... just a flashing light on the dash, and clicking noise for a brief moment. Is this normal?! It felt like I had scrapped the undercarriage too but it just scared me how all this clicking, flashing dash indicator light, and the vehicle didn’t seem to accelerate when pressing the gas. Any ideas? Sucks cause I had only owned the vehicle for 2 hours when this happened. Thank you in advance

I suggest you read the owners manual..specifically what your dash indicators mean. It’s there for a reason.

Would have never thought to check the manual(rolls eyes) Didn’t get a good look at which indicator light it was as I was focusing on not rolling back into anything at that moment.

Good info! I haven't experienced that yet on mine but I'd be posting for sure if I did - now I know..
