Still working on it. It's starting to become addicting! Just ordered a new Rack and some lights for the Hood. (Fox Suspension)

Hi Alex! Try looking through and posting this on Tacoma World. Taco Bilstein take offs work. That's what my truck had with a Daystar spacer lift when I bought it.

Sorry haven’t been on in a bit. At that time I was running the stock rear air ride suspension with the level set as high as it would go and the front was just shocks off of a 2019 Tacoma off-road.

I pretty much posted that the BX built headlight assemblies are a bit too much money for me to justify buying. They look great but $700 for headlight assemblies..... :bananadead:

2060C113-2A1C-4AC3-821C-BF910AF5C026.jpg What’s up everyone! So just recently put a Bilstein 5150 2” lift on with OME rear springs and wildpeak 275/70R17’s on. Love the way it looks but hate the turning. When I hit a 3/4 to full turn the tires run right up against my UCA’s (stock). I’m looking for help and guidance on what I should do to stop this from happening. I’ve seen hub centric wheel spacers suggested but not recommended by my mechanic for safety reasons. I also know that the 2008-2009 4Runners front tires are a tad bit farther in so that doesn’t help. I wanted to do rims a little later on but feel like an offset rim upgrade is the only option. Are there any other suggestions I could do for the time being that are less expensive? My exhaust is leaking and my windshield/frame seal leaks water when I bring it through the car wash so I was hoping to replace both of those first

Just to clarify things for you, the tires don’t sit in further, the 2006-2009 have bigger fender flares. But there is no other option for the clearance on the UCA other than new wheels or spacers. I have seen people use 1/4” (or smaller) spacers but you have to get special lugs to make those safe as well as using bigger ones like spidertrac or similar. Sorry. The other option you may have is finding someone to either lend you or sell you some factory ones for cheap while you get either new wheels or spacers sorted out. My vote goes to wheels that work, I never like the idea of spacers.
Also, and assuming you did. Make sure it’s the UCA you are rubbing on and not the wheel well plastics in front of the tire. There is some trimming that has to be done even with 275s

Thanks for the reply! Do you recommend an offset and if so, what kind? I don't really understand offset. I'm reading that negative offset brings the tire out wider for the truck but that positive is better for offroad? Completely lost. Here are a few pictures of what my tire is doing now to my UCA's.

No problem. Backspace and offset go hand in hand. Most people recommend around 4.5 backspace which on a 8 inch wide wheel would be 0 offset. That will change with wheel width though. Any further negative the offset goes, that’s how much further the tire sticks out from the hub. Backspace is from the hub(where the wheel meets the hub),to the inside portion of the wheel(where you are running). So the lower the number on backspace. The further the wheel sticks out. Ex. 17x8 -0 offset is 4.5BS. There are plenty of diagrams online. I believe our factory wheels are 17x7 +12o 5.5BS. I’m not positive on those numbers but it’s some where close. Hope that helps

To add. I am currently running 17x8 0 offset 4.5 backspace with 285/70/17 and I don’t run anything. I did however have to clear plastics front and rear. And my tires sit just past flush with my wheel wells.

I am but lift shouldn’t matter to much unless you do a body lift or a drop bracket lift. When your suspension compresses otherwise it’s sitting right back at the stock location anyway. CA3362FF-FB52-4B3D-A086-EB4BCCF2DC0E.jpg
