    Hello,

I am new to the forum and have a question. I just acquired a 2021 TRD Off Road Premium edition and am getting a "Pro" tubular roof rack installed, simply because I need the height on the "Pro" roof rack, to mount my Rod Vault, without it hitting the rear door, when it is open.

Would someone be so kind as to, if you have a Pro edition, give me the measurements on your Toyota tubular roof rack? I need the height of the rack, from the vehicle's roof, to the top of the cross bars.

    thank you

    Allen

From the roof it measures just a wee bit more than 7" to the top of the top tube. I don't have my cross bars on but you can add around an inch+ to that. If you need an exact measurement I'm not going to be able to help tonight. We're having winds that wouldn't allow me to install a cross bar. :sorry:

It’s roughly 7 1/4” from roof to top of the rack tube. Measured from the side, just above. rear passenger door. I didn’t climb on the roof to get an exact measurement from center of roof to highest point of crossbar.

    Hello sir,

thank you for taking the time out to get the measurement. The info will help me immensely with trying to figure out, how far forward I need to mount my fly rod rack, and to try and determine if it will clear the rear door, when it is open. Again, thanks so much. Like a bonehead, I just got rid of my FJ, for this new 4Runner. I should have had the insight to take the measurement before I got rid of my FJ.......Allen

Scroll down to post #15 for a visual with ladder installed. No measurements but it's a good visual.

I have the same question. I have a Denver Outfitters/Thule rod vault but will be buying a Pro soon. If I mount it to the lower cross bars of the pro rack, is there enough room to open the rod vault hatch and pull a rod out while clearing the upper tube on the Pro rack? Thule sells spacers too....so maybe a couple more spacers can be added. I can’t find a single picture of this set up anywhere. The plan is to still for all this in the garage too. 21CB56C4-B587-4EAB-B206-DD85960E6D66.jpg1AE8C77A-93D2-40DE-BC1A-1CA6A2DB2194.jpg
