I currently use a walmart basket on my factory rack. It isn't even long enough to fit traction boards. I also want to install a awning... I think its time for a full length rack.

I really like the functionality of a basket. I regularly toss things up there with minimal tie down, or max tie down if its needed.

At first I thought Gobi was the only game in town. Then I discovered ARB has a rack but there is very little info online. Then I learned of BajaRack and FrontRunner. FR offers "expedition rails" that add a 2.5" high railing to their flat rack.

I really like customizability of the FrontRunner. Not real crazy about the slats, that kind of impedes on "just toss it up there"

The Gobi is the obvious choice for most. I am not scared of wait times. I might be part of the minority or maybe it looks different in person, but the front rise looks weird to me. and no rise doesn't look much better.

Just talking it out, I am kind of leaning towards the BajaRack with mesh floor... ?

Are you talking about the drop in basket for the pro rack? I was looking at that as well. Just curious, what are you using to secure items now?
