Does anyone know of an LED light bar that would fit in the hood scoop opening of 5th gen TRD Off Road

Ummm, why? Isn't that a functional scoop? You would block airflow.

Not a single Toyota (US) truck or SUV has a functional hood scoop.

Personal opinion, you'll get a lot more light out of a 32" light bar mounted in the grille than what you could mount in the scoop.

    Silly me.

Sorry, this is my first Toyota and a non-functional hood scoop is new to me.

Its all good man. Yeah the flat ass hood on these vehicles creates a low pressure area. You'd need a massively tall scoop to actually force any air.

Yep, I've already got a light bar behind the grille.
I was thinking about some additional light higher up without going up on the roof.
I think that one day I stumbled across some web site that offered a bracket for the hood scoop light bar but I haven't been able to find it again so I was hoping perhaps someone else knew.
I did check and there is an insulation pad that covers almost all of the inside of the hood so the scoop's only function is to slightly decrease forward vision and to look cool.

That was the web site I had stumbled across a few weeks ago and couldn't remember, Thanks very much

We like this idea. Will be considering it for our own project.

I didn't get that too when I first got my 07 Taco, and wanted to remove the plastic that was blocking air from coming into the scoop. But I read it would just be problematic to let elements in thru the scoop.

Anyway, the scoop is still functional to me. It reduces hood vibration.

People do have different opinions on which hood looks better. You'll see quite a few TW threads with folks wanting to swap scooped hoods with non-scooped, and vise versa.

The hood scoop is funtionable as a good reflector for the sun early in the morning blinding the crap out of me.

    A. No the 5th Gen 4runner doesn't have a functional hood scoop,
    B. That's ridiculous to think that even if it was functional that a light bar would restrict that much air to make a difference
    C. regardless of function, anyone can agree that lights in any grille look pretty damn cool, if whomever wasn't going for looks then yes, they would obviously go for some KC lights or PIAA and install them in the appropriate area.

Rigid single row 10" light bar fits perfect. You will need to order a bracket though.

I think the money would be better spent doing this...plus it would look awesome. Especially if you have a black 4Runner
