Fuel pump recall done. They quoted me 4.5 hours, but finished in 3. They also appreciated I left the tank empty, though I cut it a bit close.

 

It does not interfere, one of the reason we went with C4. The winch is a warn 10s, we wanted to go synthetic. So far, very happy with the results.

 

Installed a bug/rock guard and interior LED bulbs.

 

Looks great

 

Had a Home Depot gift card so I picked up a strap. Better than not having one I guess

 

Installed n-fab steps today. I liked them on my Tacoma. Hopefully I'll be just as happy with them on my 4Runner. I almost went with the 3" version, but I'm glad I stuck with the 2" version. After gift cards and discounts, they only cost me $90.

 

Thanks for the info! There's a lot of those types of bumpers on the market, another thing I'm considering is how hard it will be to touch up the paint [Mn winters are really hard on powder coat ] the ARB I had on my Tacoma was such a big heavy beast that I never wanted to take it off to do a proper paint!
I'm thinking the smaller ones would be easier to maintain.
Would you have to remove the grill and remaining plastic bumper to take it off?

Not much sadly, took it in to get the lift installed today. Everything went together perfectly, they got my caster aligned to 4 degrees, got the TSS recalibrated, and it's looking damned good! Sadly, I'm not able to pick it up until tomorrow.

Hopefully I'll be able to bring it home and I can then check out the two thing I'm most interested in: How much better will the new suspension feel over stock, and how much is the Wife gonna hate the fact it sits up higher now. *laughs* (She just laughed and assured me I'll hear about it if she does.)

 

I had 1 mile left, but I was filling up when I took the pic. I wouldn't have made it to the next station.

Dont sweat it there's still 20-30 miles in the tank after it hits E
I dont risk it but i know we can drive a little further after E

But yes 9000 not a good idea to run the engine while it's drinking go juice

 

Tach is registering engine idle speed. That's why I made the comment. Maybe some people don't know this? Thought is was common knowledge but never know.

Engine wasn't running. I was at a full serve station.

 

I figured out when the light comes on, there's still 4 gallons in the tank.

 

I took the picture after adding gas. I had just started the vehicle. The gas gauge registered the amount of gas, but the range hadn't reset yet. I never full up while the engine is running.

Edit: I only put $20 worth of gas until i got to a better/cheaper gas station.

 

I wasn’t feeling the hook that came on the Smittybilt x20, so I put my angle grinder to use and replaced the hook with a flatlink.

No more hook dangling around. No more bow shackle hanging off the front asking to be stolen. More protection for the synthetic rope from UV and other elements. Also adds a little color up front.

 

Blacked out rims, "deleted" roof rails, installed moon roof wind deflector, door rain guards... now need to get rid of Raptor steps, not a fan.

I installed 1" front spacers to level the truck a bit, and I scored a box that will go on the roof rack [when I get the cross bars from LFD] I think I will install the Tred boards on the lid of it so I can take it on/off as 1 unit as I transition from DD to camping/travel.


The box is a Pelican copy from Harbor Freight they are on sale right now for 119
I was there to get parts cleaning solution because I'm servicing my Warn M8000 winch in preparation to purchase and install a bumper .
I'll likely get a C4 with hoop

I do it all the time, just like $5 or $10 at a time. Doesn't seem to care.

 

100% agree, and it kinda scares me when I see it done in other countries that offer full service. Customer pulls up, engine running, and stays in the car.
