Total curiosity, but how much does a rebuild run?

Rotated the tires, lowered the spare, and lubed the spare tire mechanism...

Is there a way to remove the chain assembly for the spare tire without cutting or permanently disabling it just incase I ever decide to change things up?

Can't answer that one for you. I've never bothered to look at how it's attached to the vehicle.

The Tacoma it looked spot welded to the cross member but I haven’t stayed under the 4Runner long enough to go looking around at it.

Ok, you piqued my curiosity so I just crawled under the 4Runner and looked up through the spare.

The mechanism has threaded fittings and appears to be bolted on from the inside cargo area.

I'd say if you pull up the cargo area carpet it would be easy to remove...at least that's how it looks to me.

It is not bolted to or through through the body in any way. These are body on frame trucks, that wouldn't last long with natural flex between the body and frame. It's bolted to the frame and can be removed or replaced if needed.

There is no need to remove carpet. It's bolted to the frame. Nothing at all is bolted through the body to the frame on a body on frame vehicle besides body mounts which have isolators.

I get it. My taco has Accutune Fox 2.5 Factory series and 2.0's in the rear. Excellent shocks that will need a rebuild soon as well. There's pics on the previous page. It's nice but a bit of a pain to be down for a week or so.

Looks like the 25% front and 80% with the rear privacy glass matches pretty well. I’m getting ceramic done on mine later this month and was thinking a 30% or 40% on the front and clear on the back to try and get them to match.

I thought the lower the number the darker the tint. The back looks too dark for 80% maybe 20%??

Maybe it’s the picture. But it looks good.

The factory privacy glass is going to make an 80% appear darker.

I needed some help drying SEAMINT so I popped for one of these with the 30' hose. Sure hope it helps. First time user reviews are mixed, while all those who use them for a living praise it.

Once again. Time and use will tell.

Battery powered leaf blower works great after washing. Dry with an appropriate drying towel and blow water out of tight spots with the leaf blower.

Its a real solid match, I'm curious how it'll be in direct sunlight but it looks much better than the fishbowl front window it used to be haha.

This^ the factory glass on the back windows is already dark and didn't need to be any darker. I just wanted heat reflection for the dogs in the back and to help keep the truck cool in the summer.

Appreciate the tip. I have their motorcycle dryer which works better than my 110v leaf blower, but still wasn't enough. It's so dry here if you don't get the water off(high mineral content)you're screwed. May have to go to a water softener. Have already figured out how to set one up(reasonably priced) for washing cars exclusively.
