I own a 2016 T4R SR5 w/lift. At63 I'm now having some issues climbing up into it. It came with running boards (not sure the brand but I've included a pic) they are oval shaped not round. Went to a truck accessory store and he tells me the only option I have is to install electric running boards at $2100. Anyone know of a step that can be attached to the existing or perhaps know of a brand of a entire new running board with lower steps?

Just about any Fabrication shop could weld - or drill and mount - a step for you. Max cost would be a couple hundred dollars. I would think. Shop around. There are some really good and fair fabricators out there. imo

The factory ones work fine. Flat and hang lower than those.

Could find a set of "factory" predator steps for a 200 bucks or so. Lots of take offs out there... Including mine.

I guarantee if you know how to spread out a blanket and know which end of a ratchet wrench is which, you can install these yourself.
