    I was not happy with the fixes on my TRD ORP. I don't think its even safe to drive anymore;

    (Some pics from the problems. And many other issues I documented.)

    If I were you, I'd be doing exactly what you are. I had a 2005 Tacoma TRD that was in an accident, fixed, but was never the same. I sold it not long after the fix. I fully disclosed what had been done to the truck, but the buyer said he was happy with it as it was.

    Congratulations on the Pro. It will grow on you, I'm sure. I don't want the dealer doing any routine service on my 4R, and your experience tells me don't ever have them pick it up and deliver it home if I did...not to say that couldn't happen to anyone, but still...

    Do you have any photos of the damaged 4R? Just curious what it looked like. I understand if you don't want to revisit all that, though.

    Thank you sir..:cheers:

    I might have to look for an knowledgeable independent shop to do the maintenance where I can see what's been done from a visitor area window and get records of maintenance in case of warranty work. After warranty period I guess I will do my self.

    Lyrics from a great song. "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow - yesterdays gone."

    You have a lot of life in front of you and I hope this is the worst that ever happens;)

    Congrats on the NEW Runner :cheers:

    Completely unfortunate situation, but I echo Moon Landing on this one. It's just yesterday, and everyone including yourself still has their health, so you can get past it. On the car side.....I've managed new car service departments before. I've seen cars fall off a lift, cars get damaged, not fixed properly, you name it. Things happen more often than most people think. I've also seen the compensation for each event. The fact they they gave you a new Pro is easily the most I have personally ever seen a new car dealer give someone for their troubles. Is that dealer brutal and did you have to go through hell and high water to negotiate that deal...looks like it...But my friend you did good. And most importantly nobody got hurt. Your new rig looks great, you seem like a good person, and this will be no more than a story as the years go by. Congrats on the new one!

    dealerships are such a pain to deal with. Glad everyone is ok from the crash. Toyota dealership ive worked with previously to buy a used car was a nightmare to get clear communication with. They promised me a second key and 2 months later learned that they couldnt find it and had to order a new one and get it programmed to the car. The only reason i knew about it was because i called them every other day after 2 weeks of hearing nothing. Had to call and talk to the general manager to finally get some answers. Honestly think that if i wasnt on top of it, they would have did nothing and this coming from a dealer that has 5 star service supposedly. Rather drive another 30 mins out of the way to a different dealership with better service.

    Sorry about your loss of an old friend. The new outfit looks great but I'm not sure I would drive around with their tag on the front bumper. Best of luck!
