Well done Man! looks perfect. Did you attached the entire thing to the existing floor of the 4runner or is it just resting in place? I had this one in the background while working and didn't see it was attached but may have missed it.

Killer shop you have. I'm jealous.

Well, as the creator said, it is a "leveling platform and slide out table," but unless you can put 400 lbs on that table when it's extended, it isn't exactly a substitute for the sliding cargo tray. Still cool though for those who's needs are accomplished by it!

For those of us without a nice shop, is there a commercial version of this type of shelf as a sleeping platform?

Hey that's me! Feel free to ask any questions you might have, happy to help.

    Some notes:
    • It's a leveling platform since as many know the trunk is lower than the folded down backseats (no 3rd row)
    • Snuck a little table in there while I was at it
Pretty simple and inexpensive. I decided to experiment with 1/2" plywood to save weight. Worth it? So far it's been fine. 3/4" is beefier, but heavier.

It is not attached to the floor. In future videos I show how I use it, but when I have items on it it ties down to the OEM tie-downs. The unit itself is very lightweight and snuggly fit into place when unloaded.
