Based on the reviews we avoided the blue color(lol) So, we added this to the recovery gear. It arrived today, and it appears to be worth the price. Time will tell, but if the reviewers are being honest it's a bargain for the price. Just passing it along if you happen to be interested. Oh too, the bag it comes with is not bad either and there's room for at least a couple soft shackles.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I got a decent discount on this one at an Overland Rally a year ago. Got it for $100.

Used it twice so far on 1 trail ride to pull a Nissan Pathfinder that was struggling to climb a couple rock ledges. Didn't need the kinetic aspect of it. Find the soft shackle is really fast for connecting the rope to my RhinoUSA hitch shackle.

    Hi

Just keep in mind those are not rated.
Rated recovery gear have tags on them stating the working load limit and breaking load limit usually with a serial number also.

Correct and a good point to make, but for a hundred bucks we decided to give it a go based on it's reviews. It's not like I'm going to be using it daily in a tow business.

yep, I get it. I actually bought something similar, used it 3-4 times worked fine. I just decided in the end to get rated recovery gear.

Thanks for passing this along! I've started in on gathering up some recovery gear, and that looks to be well regarded and at a decent price point...I think I may pull the trigger on one of those as well.

Doesn't seem like to big a gamble considering the reviews. I had already kinda gone overboard on(Warn) recovery gear but the one thing I hadn't added was a rope. Since it's not that heavy and can be stuffed somewhere :rofl:figured what the heck.

That was amazingly crazy, but I'd expect nothing less from that crew :101010:
