The days of V8s are quickly drawing to an end. Even new Mustangs have “noise makers” in them to simulate the old school sound but sadly do not do it well.

I live near Motown and get my fill of the old school rides on summer weekend nights. If you want to see what it can be like google “Woodward Cruise”. It’s a lot of fun to reminisce and see the time and TLC people put into preserving those classics.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was watching some videos and I think it might still be a little too loud for me so I actually went with the Borla 40665 off someones recommendation on this thread. It was a bitch to get it to fit but I got it in there. In my opinion its definitely an improvement on the sound inside the cabin. I can barely hear it unless I firmly press on the gas, then it just roars.

Been searching exhaust and saw this FlowFX and thought it sounded good as I want something with a little growl to it, but don't want it to be overbearing from inside the vehicle. Others like the MagnaFlow MF Series and Borla S Type Series seem too soft of a sound; and thought the Flowmaster 40/44 might be too much. Does anyone know how the performance is when compared to the others and if they are comparable, as I do not want to lose out on this?

I ended up purchasing the FlowFX and wasn’t disappointed. The only issue I had was the drone inside the cab was a bit much esp. with it being my family vehicle. So I ended up just switching the muffler out for the magnaflow and made a big difference. Still gives it a great sound but won’t drive you crazy while cruising. Still ended up being cheaper than buying a full magnaflow or borla exhaust system.

Do you have a part # for the muffler you got from Magnaflow?
