I didn’t say it was 100%, I said it could help.

I put them on for my kids, it's a hell of a step up for 6 year-olds without. They're also handy for reaching the roof.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I hate Running Boards and quickly took the ones that came with my 4Runner off and sold them.

I'll live with Rock Sliders as they protect the body of the my 4Runner off road.

So you would pass up an otherwise perfect vehicle because it comes with an accessory that is easily removed in ten minutes and could be sold on FB or CL for a couple hundred bucks?

That's like saying you refuse to buy a vehicle with blue seat covers. Or has a receiver hitch ball that is 2 5/8". Odd...

I did not want the running boards myself but got them. As a single dude planning to use this to tow my boat and fish with my 80 year old Dad. I took him to drive a few with me beforehand and he had a heck of a time getting in without a board. Even with the board he still grabbed the handle inside in the pillar.

Oh well happy to have those boards as trade off to fish still with Pops and make him comfortable.

I think my 4Runner looks fine without them. at 5' 9", they might come in handy when I have to wash the roof or get into a cargo box though...so I'm debating getting a set, just haven't found a style that really makes me want.

Slight exaggeration on my part! But, I would prefer to find one without the steps to avoid paying for it, removing it and selling it.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
I test drove a 2020 with running boards on it, and I scraped the entire back of my leg on the way out. Ouch. I've got LFD sliders on the way, and I'm hoping that if they're not more inwards on the body then at least the rounded surface on the outer portion will be less painful to drag my leg on.

The whole point of the steps is to use them, step on them to get in, and step on them to get out. It also saves the edge of the seat from breaking down.
