I just paid off my '17 ORP and got it re-titled and registered to me this morning. I bought it out of my lease. I don't drive as much as I used to and this will probably be my last vehicle - I also retired on the 1st of March - no more 64mile round trip to work. AND one less monthly payment to make:)

I probably should just start another thread and post more details on what I did and how. So look for that if you are interested in discussing further.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Congrats on paying off your Runner and your retirement. I'm retired 10 years now and let me tell ya it's great! I commuted into NYC for almost 35 years and I do not miss one second of that! I figure this will be my last vehicle too. Maybe one of my grand daughters will inherit it.

Its the Rago Center Console storage panel. Currently it holds two lenser flashlights, two walkie talkies, the gmrs radio, and ram mounts for a pad and two phones.

Received my Engine Skid Plate from RCI today! I can hopefully work on getting those installed this weekend, and add on the transfer case skid when it arrives. I also received the T1 coils from Wheeler's today AND learned that there's a reputable shop that does suspension work only about 15 minutes from me. Everything is gathered, now to just set up an appointment and get my beast lifted!

Worked on driver side bmc and did some more fender and liner trimming on both sides. Almost have it back in alignment also (steering wheel is straight again, but still tracking slightly to the right.)

Unfortunately I am STILL rubbing a little on the passenger body mount so I need to cut further back. Almost there...

I know this isn’t Facebook but man I have been on a string of bad luck lately with my 4Runner.

I dropped my 4Runner off on March 22nd to get .488 on my front and rear and I also got the ARB front and rear lockers. The company ordered me the ARB dual air compressor kit as well.

Today I finally picked up my 4Runner after it had been in the shop for almost 2 work weeks. The company I went to had raving reviews and was recommended by many people I have spoke with. I honestly don’t understand the hype because I feel that I had the worst experience ever. I am in a worse situation than when I started this endeavor and feel as though I should have done it myself.

I was told by the shop it would take 3 days to get it all done. Turned into 9 working days and it wasn’t done, I was overcharged $800 (working with them to get that corrected), the gears have a small whine (was told that usually goes away during the break-in period), I previously had a switch pro installed and they didn’t feel comfortable wiring the ARB compressor to it since they never did that before. In which case I had no problem doing it (still paid full price) and I saved them a minimum of 1 hour to wire everything up.

Tonight I go to start wiring the air compressor up so I can validate the lockers work and I see they didn’t purchase the ckmta12 but instead they got the ckmta24. I don’t have 24v in my car.

So today I would say I made my 4Runner worse instead of better. Granted I understand mistakes happen but this has been a disaster. Just 1 problem after another. I just want to adventure and have fun. I feel as though I picked the wrong company to work on my car.

I will share updates (if anyone wants to know) as I get them. If there is anyone in Arizona looking to get a regear and wants to know who I used feel free to message me so you can stay clear (maybe you might have a better experience than I did).

Now I am just twiddling my thumbs wondering what I am going to do about this now.

To elaborate on more bad luck. I ordered my Ironman suspension on March 1st with a delivery set for March 21st. They said it will be March 29th last week. Now today it is estimated to be April 15th. So if anyone has Ironman stuff on order just know they had a bad delay due to international shipping. My new front bumper was supposed to be delivered at the beginning of this week and now it doesn’t look like that is going out anytime soon. Logistically everything is messed up right now. Scheduled to move across the country in April and I am missing everything I ordered. Surely hope it doesn’t ship to Arizona when I am in North Carolina.

Sorry man. I feel you, trust me. As far as reviewers go......they're becoming less and less trusted(for many reasons) as I go through this process.

"wondering what I am going to do about this now" trust your instincts. Then follow through. imo

I respect the fact you're not burning the company(at this point) because it could be an isolated event. :notsure:

Good luck and keep us posted.

I just did the same to my Tacoma. The work took two days. Had them deal with the leaking steering rack as well-that took a bit longer but that was where Shaffer’s Off-road in Alameda shined. Kept me in the loop the whole way. I went with electric lockers. All good in the hood.

    Feel free to ask
Does this shop regularly work on Toyota’s? Shop made the mistake of ordering the 24v instead of the 12v. If it were me, I would ask to speak to the manager (an error such as this warrants being a Karen) and demand that they correct their mistake or that they cover the cost of the 12v twin and labor for another shop to correct it. Other option is going dual battery to make it work, but that’s more time and money I’m sure you weren’t planning on. If you wouldn’t mind DMing me the name of the shop.
