All depends on what has been done beforehand. Is all previous maintenance up to date? Do you have a V6 or V8?

The owners manual has recommended service intervals for most items & will state what types of fluids to use.

But if you don't know the history then all fluids are a good idea to change with quality products, doesnt have to be toyota brand but does need to be approved or rated for use in your year of toyota. I would start with the front & rear diffs, transfer case if 4WD & trans fluid exchange or a few pan drain & fills at a minimum, & be sure to use the correct type of ATF for your year, owners manual will state what to use. Also a coolant flush/replace, you can use any quality brand you like thats rated for the application & save quite a bit of money, such as valvoline zerex for asian vehicles or maxlife/amsoil ATF for the trans or any brand of the correct weight for diff & x-fer case.

Some other items would be to regrease the driveshaft, check power steering fluid & flush or replace if dark looking with correct dex3 atf fluid, not power steering fluid. Inspect suspension parts & brakes, change air filter, clean MAF & throttle body. That covers most serviceable parts, beyond that maybe have a reputable mechanic inspect other large items like suspension etc. You should easily get another 150k out of your 4runner if taken care of.
