Just got a 99 with 265k. Timing and drive belt changed at 125. How urgent is it I replace again. Trying to get to August when son goes to college and it may sit in our driveway for 9 months.

A few things here and there. Still dreaming up stuff
Well the good news is this and it the same thing I tell customers at my counter in our automotive shop. If your runner has the 3.4 in it then worry not. It is a non interference engine. Meaning of it breaks then all you will need to do is tow it home and have the timing belt job done.

Many other engine will almost certainly implode. The heads will need to fixed and the valves fixed.

If a reputable shop dose a timing belt job the right way it will run about 800 with good parts and labor.

    Hope it helps out.
