All Ive been scouring thru the forum as I begin my build. Is it accurate to say that a three inch lift on the 5th Gen platform is really the point of increased concerns and need for diff drop, extended ucas and possibly rear LCAs? Is there any real correlation to the needle bearing issues and lift height or is this seen regardless of lift? Thanks

Yes, except for the diff drop and rear control arms (never saw those needed)
Mostly lifted, but stock vehicles have experienced this also.

Extended UCAs? Aftermarket, adjustable UCA's are typically necessary somewhere in the 2-3" lift range.. "necessary" depends on who you ask. I believe most would say necessary at 3", some say necessary at 2", others say definitely not. Some claim not necessary at 2.5", but most with the funds will do it anyway and with good results.

UCA's will probably be necessary at 3".

My needle bearing was acting up within a few weeks of purchasing new (with stock suspension). I had it warrantied and now I'm lifted 2.3" with no problem (yet).
