    Evening everyone
I have a 07 4Runner Sport V6 with 202k miles, basically stock and I’m thinking about giving the ol girl some upgrades. Money isn’t an issue but my only concern is the high miles. I see stories of people with 4Runners that last 400k miles and others that only last 150k. I have kept up with service records and done everything to take care of her, she has some rust on the undercarriage and I just got a oil change a couple hundred miles ago. She runs good but I don’t want to spend $2k on upgrades and then instantly need a new transmission. What are your guys thoughts, send it? Or pass and save up for a newer 4Runner with less miles?

yup, same attitude here....i'll drive my '97 to oblivion...and back....not quite 260k on my ride...heck, couple of thousand spent for repairs or upgrades, is far cheaper than spending 25 K PLUS for a newer 4Runner....

I just purchased an ‘07 V8 Limited with 172k miles. I am so impressed at how well she runs and drives. She is my 4th 4Runner. I plan on keeping her until the wheels fall off. The 4.7L has gone a million miles in several Tundras with only routine maintenance. One Tundra needed a torque converter on the tranny was all. The cost to maintain is way less than buying a new or late model 4Runner. Local dealer wants $52k for a TRD Pro they have!

I'm about to pass 300K on mine. Right now it has 299200 on it. I got it with 263K on it. And I'm actively modding it. Slowly but surely. I've added a Daystar lift, Sony Head Unit, Grabber ATX tires and much more in the year I've had it. Yeah, I wish it had less miles. Especially when I'm miles from nowhere with no cell signal. But nevertheless, it's so reliable I just trust it and pay close attention for any new noises, leaks etc. that could foretell a problem. But as it stands right now I plan to fix whatever breaks and keep on driving it.
