    Everything!!!!!!

I always start my mods with protection due to the investment, then capability such as lift etc.... Really I just depends on what you're going to do with it

That is A LOT of exclusions... I like how structural welds are not covered.

Everyone is killing me!!! I ordered the Rago panels for the back, console panels, and compressor mount back in January and am still waiting!!! Haha! I almost picked up the shelf during the blem sale too but gotta mount a fridge first to see if it will be worth it.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Sorry about killing you :D The regular back panels are really good. I've had them installed since last year, and I like them a lot. I didn't have much on them for a while, but what I have had on them worked out great. I also got a bunch of Quick Fists with the Rago mounts, and they've been working out well so far.

The shelf isn't without noise, but so far so good. I've only driven with it a couple days, though. I'm going to take a longer highway drive today, and I'll see how quiet it is on the highway. The shelf only seemed to make noise in town on bigger bumps. If the highway is smooth, I might barely hear it back there. I also don't have anything on it yet, but I'm working on it!

I've been 100% happy with Rago blemished sale items. I don't get that stuff to show off. I get it to use. I don't care if it looks a little off because it's going to look a little off eventually. At least I can save a bunch of money that way!

Totally agree with you, we use our Runner, dings etc will happen. Especially with a 6 year old! The Rago seems to be good quality stuff and the customer service was excellent when I purchased the panels etc. I get the feeling they are a smaller shop so I am not tweaked that it is taking so long. We are going to mount our safety gear (first aid kit, fire extinguisher, flares, flashlight etc) and maybe some recovery stuff on there. The quick access stuff for emergency mostly. I went with Rago because we will expand to the shelf eventually.

Good call! I shredded a stock tire on ours within 3 days and 100 miles of buying it. First weekend we had it we went on a trail and a little rock cut it open dead center. This are highway tires for sure.

Installed an AVS Bugflector II and some Amazon door handle covers. I’m not completely sold on the door handle covers.

I put 285/70r17 on trd wheels with a 3” lift. I had to remove the mud flap and trim a little up front.

Removing mud flaps and cutting maybe 1/2” of plastic in a small section isn’t too crazy haha. I’d say it’s worth the effort to run a 33.

Just wait and see what I’ll be doing to the GX to run 35s :burnrubber:

Rivetnut and Rivetnut tool came in. Waiting on my neighbor so I can weld up the rivetnuts to make sure this never happens again. It wasn’t a hard job at all. It surely wasn’t a job I had planned this weekend but hey I am blessed to have such a nice car and be able to have the physical ability to work on it, so no complaints here.

Here are some pictures of the progress on this job:

I surely hope these posts aren’t ever experienced by anyone else but if they are I hope help someone else solve this problem.

Yeah, I guess they are smaller. I'm used to the waiting for gear. I'm in another hobby that has wait times, so my current wait for my LFD sliders is old hat for me. Probably next month. Blemished sale items do have the additional benefit of no waiting, though.

I expect I'm going to be putting a lot of lightweight recovery gear on the shelf and securing it down... somehow. I'll have to figure that out. Maybe ratchet straps will be involved. Stuff like straps, soft shackles, etc. can go up there. Maybe I'll toss a spare roll of paper towels or toilet paper up there, too. I have to pick up a first aid kit myself. I've been looking at the molle ones on Rago's myself.

I'm happy to report that the shelf survived the trip on the Garden State Parkway. Oh yeah, what did you do with the 4Runner today, I went on the Garden State Parkway and used radar cruise for the first time in my 2020. It worked great :D I checked the shelf after getting there and after getting back, and it's still secure. It didn't rattle too much on the highway, but I do think I'm going to do a mod in the future. I think I'm going to replace all of the hardware with screws that are slightly longer and put the thinnest felt tape I can find between spots where metal contacts metal. Maybe it'll help to minimize the rattling. The screws it comes with I think might just barely be long enough to reach the nylon in the nuts. That's okay, I guess, but it's not going to be long enough if I start putting in the felt tape.

I used radar cruise control in my 2020 for the first time today. It was my first time (intentionally) using cruise control of any kind. It worked very well once I figured out how to set my speed. I read the manual last night, but the interface is just weird in general. I actually got to speed setting kind of by accident. After getting radar cruise started, I was able to easily set the following distance to the longest with the dedicated button for it in the lower right of the steering wheel. The truck detected vehicles in front of me very well, held speed very well, and all around worked very well. I couldn't see myself using regular old cruise control, but this radar cruise control is pretty good. My MPGs were great, too. 20.3, maybe 20.4. I'll be using it again next time I'm on a big highway without a lot of traffic lights.

I also had a passenger today

I’d suggested a tack weld; just to help keep it from spinning in the future during removal. If set properly it “shouldn’t” be an issue; but I’ve dealt with with a few spinners over the years, can turn into a real pita.

I have a 2.5” lift on the GX. Didn’t rub at all with 275s. When I upgraded to 285s I couldn’t believe how much I rub. Now I need a BMC haha

Alrighty the crossmember is all welded up and about to be put back onto the 4Runner. I don’t think with this combination we will ever have this problem again (sure hope I didn’t just jinx myself there ;)).

Dropped the Runner off to have the Kings rebuilt last week and to install the Shrockworks sliders. Picked it up today and the wife surprised me with a Gobi 20210320_160135.jpg rack and a new light bar! Pretty excited about it.20210320_164106.jpg
