    My 21 ORP came with the oem boards. I don't care for them and want to go with a tube step. My offroading doesn't consist of rocky terrain where I would need sliders. I do plan to level the out though with Bilstein 1.75 front and cornfed rear 1" spacer. I saw comments on the Nfabs that the step is too far forward but can't find pro's or cons to much more than that. Pictures are really hard to judge since the focus in most photos isn't a step/nerf bars. Looking for real life experience or comparisons if possible TIA

    My 19 ORP had N-FAB rkr steps installed by previous owner. The steps are located pretty far forward and I wasn't a huge fan. Have Shrockworks sliders now and plan on selling the N-fabs .

    Thanks, I can't find any pics of the RC bars installed to.see where the step fits in and I see a lot of 4R owners remove the Predator steps but other than going with sliders I don't know why. The only consistent knock I can find is what you confirmed about the Nfabs step being too far forward

    Thats the only pictures that I have. To be honest I don't really see any drawbacks to going sliders over steps.

    I like my sliders as it's much better than the running boards I had before for my kiddo to get in and out. It might be a good idea to sell the running boards for sliders than predator steps or nfabs.

    This is how mine looks after getting sliders;

    Sliders can help offroad with way more than just rock crawling. Could be a mound of dirt you partially high center on, or sliding into a tree (it happens) or unseen stump; all things that could potentially damage your rockers or more. Not to mention parking lots where people park way too close or let shopping carts roam freely, lol.

    Just saying that even if you're not rock crawling, there's still a big advantage going sliders over steps.

    True... if someone really feels like they need a step... but steps off-road are the often the opposite of protection.

    My wife has rsg sliders and they are great for a step if you get them with the top plate. She also wanted a step since she is under 5 foot tall and our kids were smaller then. If your interested I can post pictures of them later.

    Not looking for protection, I've been offroading for probably 30+ years, I don't need sliders for my Offroad needs. I need a step to help my wife get in and out once I lift this thing because she has had two knee replacements

    Same here. My wife used the Predator steps my 4R came with every time she got in or out. I just didn't care for how low the steps hung down, and I wanted more door ding protection. Hence, RSG flat sliders with the grip top plate. She uses those just as much for a step. Nothing wrong with steps.

    What model did you go with. I'm thinking of getting the predator pro's.

    Make sure you block out 10 minutes of time. That's about how long those take to install.

    I needed a step, and I’m happy with my N-fab nerf bars.
