    Hey guys,

I have done some extensive research here on installing a pro roof rack on my 2021 off road. I ended up finding an oem one locally, going to order the parts kit for it but no one locally will install it. I have called two toyota dealer, they each say no and every place like cap it is hesitant. Is this really that hard of an install?
I know that you have to inch out each screw slowly leaving in the other one so you don’t bend the bracket but other than that what is an issue that can be ran into? Can you accidentally break anything else?
Also when installing the roof rack there is the foam and fiber washer. What water sealant did you use to ensure that it did not leak or did you just use those?

I installed mine. It was very easy. Just do the research, go slow on those bolts like you already know, follow the Toyota instructions, and use the correct parts. With a helper, it took me a few hours going slowly and taking my time. No need for any additional sealant, etc. Toyota doesn't use that and you shouldn't either.. it will just gunk it up for nothing. GL!
