Fuel_Assult_20x10_Real sample_A1-700.png $_1.jpg I am in the midst of selecting which wheels I will buy for my 2015 4runner trail.

    Fuel assault in black:
17"x8.5" (smallest width available, and widest I would go)
Available in 14mm or 25 mm offset
    6x135mm bolt pattern

    Or

    TRD wheels in black:
    17"x7" (same as stock)
    4mm offset
    6x139.7mm bolt pattern

My delemma is that I am not sure if the Fuel wheels would even fit, and if they do I am also unsure as to what additional modifications will be needed. The Fuels are a little bit more expensive, about $40 per, and I like the look of them more. I plan on getting a toy tech 3" lift with 285/70/17 bfg ko2 AT's. Any and all help would be much appreciated.

I did the same and ended up with the TRD and love them.

I do like the look of the TRD's as well as their reliability. I'm really unsure what it would take to make the fuels work. Thanks, nice ride!

33"KM2s, 4.88s, Spartan Locker, TG rear bumper, AllPro Kickout sliders, 4Crawler 1.5" BJS, OME 2" Dakar springs.
The bolt pattern size is different. That eliminates their use right there alone. TRDs all the way! Those fuels are hideous IMHO. I prefer OEM wheels but, if I were to go aftermarket, I'd choose Methods.

That was the obvious that I wasn't sure of. I spent 2 hours looking online regarding bolt patterns/offsets and I'm pretty sure I came out more confused in the end. Thanks for the help. Any other brands you suggest? I do like these:

Will do. I am going to start a build thread with pics. Haven't decided if I will post it here or at T4R.

TRD rims are .5" narrower than stock Trail rims.

These (FN F(x) Pros) are .5" wider than stock (so, 1" wider than TRD) with zero offset, lighter than stock, and about the same price as TRD rims (kinda depends on where you source the TRD rims from...). Not a cheap knock-off. Designed to mimic TRD rims, but provide better dimensions:

I went with 17" X 8.5" with a -5 offset. I was trying to preserve stock back spacing and I prefer the ride and look of the tire to rim combo of 17"

So I pulled the trigger on a set of (5) 17x7 TRD wheels in matte black via my dealer. $856.65+$64.63 in sales tax. (They matched an online price of $171.00/wheel). I was surprised they did this and it will save me $100 in the end. I am leaning towards 275/70/17 BFG KO2's for these reasons:

    1. They are actually cheaper than 265's (and 285's obviously)
    2. I've read many first hand accounts of extremely minor rub , if at all, and additional mods needed without a lift.
    3. Trying to salvage every decimal of mpg I can.

I would like to get a lift but it isn't practical for myself as this is my daily driver. Possibly later on though.

My new conundrum is what, if any, mods (as in wheel spacers) I will need going from stock trail rims (17x7.5) with 265/70/17 Dunlops to TRD wheels (17x7) with 275/70/17 BFG KO2's.

    Stock Trail wheels: 17"x7.5"x4.875mm offset

    TRD wheels: 17"x7"x4mm offset.

I'm a usin' my brain thinkins'n learnin' noggins real hard but if my mind is not deceiving me it's essentially so small of a difference that I won't need wheel spacers? Help?!

Finally got new slippers for the billygoat! 275/70/17 BFG KO2's with TRD wheels and N-fab nerf bars on stock suspension. Minimal rub at full lock. Bilsteins are next.
