Nice looking rig! I definitely recognize your Trooper, looks like you're neighbors with my old landlord, Kathy.

sold that Trooper recently, and have another in mothballs....as I'll do a total restore...problem being, parts for first gen troopers are virtually drying up...and there's not a whole lot of third party vendors creating OEM items..unlike 3rd gen 4runners...where there's plenty of stuff out there....old Kathy ...she's a hoot....one of my favorite liberals......LOL....

    Hey @mousemeat

You happen to have any suggestions for a good exhaust shop or a DIY'er that could either replace my catalytic converter pretty reasonably, or just convert it to straight-pipe? The guy that had mine before me replaced the exhaust with a flowmaster series 40 and a high-flow cat (allegedly lol) and the cat bit the dust almost immediately when I got it - SO I can't just bolt in an OEM one and be on my way, unfortunately...

couple of places.....there's the hub automotive...located in Cooper-Young....I've used them from time to time...especially, if I didn't have the proper tools to get it done....and they are 4runner friendly. Talk to the owner..Andrew. and I've also used 'em to work on my '87 FIERO GT...from time to time....

Yeah! The Hub is awesome, I've actually used them before too - glad they're on your short list too.
