I recently bought a 21 ORP for $40,500k msrp and after TTL $42,860k.

I'm a bit bitter about KDSS not being included like I was led to believe as I've waited a long time to buy my perfect 4runner. Ultimately my fault.

Still love the vehicle despite experience with dealer.

Not a 2021 but last month (1/2021) I scored a 2020 TRD ORP with KDSS, moonroof, running boards, blacked out emblems for a sale price of $40,784 (MSRP was $46,498, something like ~12% off MSRP) and a 1.89% interest rate through my local credit union. It was an out of state purchase so I paid taxes/registration separately so my OTD was $41,171 at the dealer. Feel like I got a great deal.

Just picked up a TRD Off Road , best deal I could get was $1,800 off MSRP, as these are rather scarce up here in Montreal, Canada.
Better deals were available on the Limited , SR5 or Trail trims but not on the higher trims like Venture, Off Road and PRO

Me too! I just sort of stumbled on it on cars.com I believe it was. Thought it was going to be a bait and switch, maybe something that was actually used. But to my surprise, when I contacted the dealer directly I learned it was a brand new leftover with 5 miles on it for the quoted price I mentioned without any haggling. I had been searching high and low across 6 states so I jumped on it.

Good to know - Orlando / Clermont Toyota seem to have better deals than Seminole Toyota where I had been looking

Just agreed on a 2021 Off-Road Premium, only add-on is the all-weather floor liners. MSRP is $43,744.

Sale price is $40,500 less $1,000 cash back and $500 military. For all intents and purposes I'm then paying $39,000 even plus tax/tag/etc. Doc fees are $299.

    I'm happy.

NW Ohio, but the truck was purchased in Fargo, ND. I was getting quotes of $39,900 Locally (not including military rebate) without any trouble but I wanted red and no moonroof. Fargo was the closest and after some back and forth they came down a bit to help offset shipping to my home.

Wow I hope that type of deal is available on an ORP. I have been scouring so cal dealerships for a white ORP with kdss. Nobody wants to give a discount off MSRP. They think they're selling a limited production Ferrari.

I got mine $3200 below MSRP on a specific vehicle in a tight market. I did a scaled down version of the advice above. Contacted 20 dealers, had 5 serious contenders. It took about 3 days. The dealer I bought from was 95 miles from home and in a more rural area where taxes or lower so I saved another 2% on sales tax. This was on an SR5 Premium with a moonroof.

I went through the Costco program in San Diego, for a 2021 Nautical Blue SR5P 4x4 it ended up being $500 over invoice which before fees was ~$3k below MSRP. After delivery/doc/etc, it was still a shade under sticker.

First dealer I went to where the truck was tried to tell me the 2021's were excluded from the Costco program but the dealer that reached out to me after putting in an inquiry through Costco traded for that specific truck and gave me the deal.

LOL - I tried Costco auto at one dealer here and the guy stopped talking to me when I pointed out their lease rate was ~$100/month over the MSRP quote on Toyota.com. Thankfully I found another dealer who's being more reasonable - we'll see how things go this afternoon once the Costco card comes out.

Here we are not even two months later, and Vroom just offered me $40k on my now used 4Runner with 1,500 miles.

    The 4Runner market is whack.

DC you have a gift for understatement - with the lack of availability of new ones here in Las Vegas, I (briefly) considered used.....at least until I saw them asking $36k for 2019 SR5's with 30k miles

I got $1K off my T4R that's still being assembled. Waiting sucks but glad I'm got it at least under MSRP.

Really close to pulling the trigger on a MGM Pro. Two dealerships (3 vehicles) $1,000 above MSRP.

Have you checked the prices on car gurus/ carfax, etc? $36k for a 4R like that is the going rate.

    Stoney-

Yeah, I figured that out... Just surprising.

Speaking of surprises: got the call my TRD Off Road was in today and drive up to the dealership... Only to find out some twinkbag PDI'd the wrong 4runner and so now I have to wait until tomorrow. Bunch of freaking teases, I tell ya!

Fun update- CarMax just offered $46k for my truck, a 2021 ORP that MSRP'd at $44k something and I paid $39k for.

My question is, who the hell is going to pay way above MSRP for a used 4Runner!? What a wonderful world we live in.

Impatient folks? The wait on 4Runners in my area is like 3 months.
