First post on here but Im active in tacomaworld. My wife has a 2014 4runner sr5 2wd. She is wanting a 3 inch lift and 285s. I have a tacoma with the 5100s and 2.5" toytec springs. I'm getting the rear springs ome 889s today. From what I'm seeing the tacoma 5100s don't list for the 09+ runners. What's the difference. I'm new to 4runners as this is the first I've ever had. @ramonortiz55 do you know? I know your on both sites.

it has to do with bushing sizes, i think its a pretty easy swap but haven't heard much for the newer model years.

im fairly certain thats the issue. i know that it changed from 4th-5th gen 4runners and needs to be changed in order for it to be a direct swap, i could be wrong on the tacoma parts but i believe thats all it is

Called wheelers they didn't know. So I called bilstein and the valving is stiffer for the 4runner and stroke/length is different. This sucks hahaha

    this here is the difference.

4runner and Tacoma shocks/coilovers don't match for the newer generations.

For the older generations, they do.

Ok instead of starting another post I'll ask here.

Does the 4runner need a top plate spacer like the tacoma for the driver side with aftermarket springs
