just picked up 98 4Runner limited 2wd. First 4Runner. Clean as a whistle, runs like a top. 212000 miles. Installed new tires, battery and plugs. Water pump, timing belt done at 170,000. Anyhow, would like to do a 1 & 1/2 " lift or so. Purely for aesthetics. I also feel like I need new shocks. Ride seems a little old. Possibilities seem endless and confusing. Can my two needs be combined into an economical solution. Want the looks of the lift and a nice firm street ride for trips and around town. Suggestions, please.....and thanks !

I'm in roughly the same boat. I'd like to hear what anyone has to say on this.

    Thanks!
