Just bought a 2021 4 Runner and at 65 to 75 mph there is a whining noise that sounds like it’s coming from the rear end. I have an appointment with the dealer Tuesday. I would like to know if anyone else is having the same issue. Thanks

I had the exact same problem. Stopped as soon as I allowed the wife to sit up front with me. Now I have a whining coming from the front passenger seat LOL.

I have not experienced any whining noises at ant speed with my 4R. Let us know what the dealer says.

Is it an intermittent whining/vibration? I have a similar issue except mine seems to be intermittent and it's at around 40-50.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Slight noise, I attribute it to the tires on cold pavement, seems to be better when a few miles are put on.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

If it only happens on very light throttle then it could well be classic "gear whine" which is caused by imperfect gears...does it go away under moderate/hard acceleration and put more load on the gears? My Subaru Outback had it around 45 mph. If it's gear whine it's not any sort of durability problem but if it bothers you enough it's probably wise to take it back to the dealer.
