Hi, I'm new here I have a 1998 4runner and I'm doing a manual conversion. I have the clutch pedal mounted and everything is coming together nicely. My problem is pin outs to m/t computer. Have done some research and found the list of pinout for most third gens.

So I have a ECU from a 95 1/2 4runner and a manual wiring harness from a 2002 4runner. Pickings are slim around here and it's all I could find. Is this even possible with that hardware? I don't have alot of time on my hands as I just got a job at midus full time. Does anyone know what wires are absolutely necessary to get this running? I know that some wires are different colors and go in different locations. I guess I just need to do some more research but any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless.

The only manual plugs I'm missing are

    E7 Pin 8 which is E3
    E7 Pin 7 which is TE1
    E7 Pin 5 which is OX1
    E6 Pin 3 which is HT1
    E6 Pin 5 which is G-
    E6 Pin 7 which is E03

The auto and manual 2002 4runner share the same layout of pins according to the PDF I downloaded

The following are the wires that I have not matched to the 95 and a half plug.

    WFSE
    IGSW
    FC
    NSW
    NE+
    G2
    E1
    PSW
    TBP
    RSC
    E01
    E02
    TC
    E05
    E2G
    THA
    AF1+
    THW
    HTAF1
    PTNK
    AF1-

So I would think 6 of these would match the above but I don't know which ones are necessary.

Interesting; I would've assumed the drive by wire found on later models would've posed an issue.

Curious to see the end result.

Hey man - I can't answer your question entirely, but I can tell you that theres no such thing as a 2002 manual wiring harness. I'm doing the same swap on my 02. The last manual 4Runners were made in 2000, there was no manual option in 02.
