What have you done to your 3rd Gen 4Runner today?

New rear bumper

 

Passed inspections running puuurfect!!!

 

Installed a light bar on my newly built cargo rack.

 

Went to work. Not for money though. I figure if I made it this far making pennies. I don’t need anything from anybody...

 

Got the dog’s nails trimmed......,,
She won’t let me touch them...,,

 

Replaced my other cv axle as the boot finally tore last week so now I've got the extended CV axles on both sides -



Here's the one I installed about a month and a half ago or so -



Issue now though is my cv axle seal may be bad on the first axle I replaced because it's leaking diff oil slightly.

Also, installed my OME 890 springs now that I've got my dual swing out. Kind of a pain in the ass considering how much longer they are compared to the OME 906 -



Here you can see the 906 -



And the 890, with more wraps not to mention additional height. The giveaway being the angle of the panhard bar -



I've now got about 2 1/2" rear lift versus the 2" that left me level.

 

Went to the farm and played with the wolves...

 

And picked up this bada$$ bow for my nephew if he is interested..

 

Relocated my license plate and installed my LED plate light, as well as my lower control arm skids

 

New diff drain/fill gaskets, drain plug, and fluid -

 

I need to replace my front diff drain bolt too....,,,

 

12mm hex tool for the drain bolt.

Ensure that your fill bolt can be removed first though, as sometimes people strip it after they removed their drain bolt and can't fill up their diff anymore.

10mm hex tool for the fill bolt.

I wrote the part numbers on the baggie above for the crush and flat washers for said bolts.

 

Installed my rear lower links

 

Shot bows, played with a wolf, and fed a horse... I guess I didn’t really “do” anything to the 4R except jam a Lionel Richie cassette tape....
With my mask on..,,,,

 

Out of town, and had to pull off as there are several trails right around where I parked so marked it as a waypoint.

hey guys, not sure this is the proper place for this, but replaced rear struts on hatch, and when I took it to fill the gas tank before gas goes any higher (thanks Biden; sorry Keystone guys), I noticed that my 4Runner's ignition key can be pulled out while the truck is running. Is this normal? my first Toyota, and i'm curious.

 

Awning will be next; mounted up the Sherpa Maxtrax plates with Maxtrax pins -

 

Activated ECT Power, 4WD Low, And Locked the Differential. Pulled out of backyard like a tank!!
That’s as far as she goes until this salt/sand is washed away.
Then undercoated rear end with POR 15. Will let dry then apply Fluid Film.....,,,

yeah, been thinking about a rolled umbrella that you pull open, use spare tire crank handle to close, double-sided 1 inch velcro strips to keep rolled umbrella shut, attached to cargo box attached to roof rack, storing pair of collapsible poles in box, or maybe in the tube at the end of the umbrella? a tube with a hole through both sides on each end for the spikes of the poles to fit through? Velcro closing strips can be figure-8 wrapped to secure pole to tube. Maybe time for the wife to exercise the Juki ... hummm ......? pics to follow. Thanks for jogging the gray matter.

Reupholstered my center console with some black marine leather, good for a first project, dash LEDs are next!

Where did you get your control at...

 

replaced window motor, if you try it dont forget to plug the motor up by itself and run in the up postion for 10 sec,suposedly resets the pinch point,,then bolt it to the regulator and install..,We'll see

 

2001 Toyota Sienna. If you're interested in doing this mod, pm me. Just have to type up the instructions. Pretty easy mod. Parts acquired from pick and pull inexpensively.

 

New injectors and Antique tags mounted... And it’s been over ten years since I changed the air-cleaner so stopped by Advance and got one...

 

Dropped the spare to spray POR and do a rust inspection check...
