    Getting the icon stage 1 suspension kit installed on my 2019 4R ORP here pretty soon. About how long does it take for the lift to settle? In A few pictures I have seen It looks like the 2” rear lift springs give the rear too much lift. I’m hoping that will come down a bit over time.

    anyone have some experience with this?

    What springs did you get? I have the 52700 springs. It’s settled right at about 2”, just a shim above.

    Lights all around. IVD front standard travel
    You can always crank the front up a couple turns to level it out if you don’t think the back settled enough. That’s what I did at least

    I recently installed these icon 158506 rear springs and got exactly 2”. Hub to fender is now 24”. stock is 22" rear and 20" front. Haven’t loaded anything in it yet but it’s firm.

    Yes, the 52700 2” rear springs are what is being installed on mine. Ok, those measurement give me a reference point to

    do you know the difference between the icon 52700 and the 158506 ? also for reference my fronts are 23.5" w/kings 600lb springs. i'm thinking of at least setting them to 24" to make them level to the rears.

    Update: I decided to stick with the Icon Stage 1 kit which includes the front coil overs(58646), the rear shocks (56505), and have decided to not do the 2” rear icons lift springs that typically come in the kit (52700) and stick with OEM (for now). I just think for my personal use of the vehicle the +2” in the back will be too much. I am having the installer set my front coil over at about a 2” lift, or whatever it actually comes out to to level with the back.

    I think this will leave me with plenty of room to “grow”. I could order a 1.5” rear spring from say Eibach or OME and still have plenty of room on the front coil to raise it as needed to remain level. The stage 1 kit allows for up to 3” adjustable lift in the front.

    2” isn’t too noticeable to me, maybe because of the larger tires. You might or might not like it with 285’s. Personally, 285’s might look too stuffed in the rear with no lift which doesn’t appeal to me. I’m going a full 3” with OME springs here soon because I like there to be a lot of wheel well room. Some 285’s are on the small end though, while other tend to run bigger. It’s all preference though.
    If all you’re wanting is to level it and gain ride quality and handling, your initial thoughts are spot on.

    I agree with you that with 285+ tires you would want the +1.5” to 3” rear lift, especially If you’re loaded down. I think I mentioned before (or maybe In a different thread) I want to run 285/70/17 tires eventually once I get a nice set of wheels. But for the next few months I’ll be stock tires on stock wheels. And I think that’s where most of my concern is - that stock wheels/tires will not be appealing (to me) on a full 3”/2” setup. I like the idea of being able to progressively upgrade over time, and I’m not exactly sure when the tire/wheel upgrade will actually happen, it seems that all the wheels I like are sold out/back order, so the search continues!

    I appreciate everyone’s input, there’s so much variability and personal preference to take into consideration- especially for a noobie like me!

    You'll be nose high going 2" in front and no lift in the back.

    1.75" is dead level in the front.

    1.5" in the front and 0" in the back will give you a little bit of rake.

    so I’ve also given this a lot of thought too, level is where I want to be. I was more using 2” as a general starting point for my installer. Which I know, we’re talking about the difference between a quarter inch here, but is definitely a noticeable difference. I think I’ve called my installer 10 times over the past Few days to really iron out the details lol (obsessive? Maybe. But I want it to be right!) and they’re well aware that my primary goal is to be level with the rear at this point - in terms of height. If the front is set to 1.75” Of lift to be level with the rear then that’s fine with me as well. At least until I’m ready for bigger tires, and at that point I’d probably do the 1.5” rear lift spring And then raise the front up however much is needed to remain level.

    Bigger A/T LT Tires, Slight Lift, Sliders, Rack, Lights, etc.
    For reference.. From the factory my Venture is raked forward. The front fenders sit two inches closer to the ground than my rear fenders. However, I believe if I raised the front by two inches, the frame might be ever-so-slightly reverse-raked. It might be dead-level.. hard to tell. That said, loading any weight in the rear would bring it down some, so I like to be sure I have forward rake. That's why I only "leveled" my 4Runner by raising the front one inch more than the rear. To each his own.. I can really see the "cali-lean" or "carolina squat" making a comback tbh.. just not my cup of tea.

    Any lift on the stockers look funny if you ask me.

    I'd just save the pain and install the rear springs now and just live with until you get rim/tires.
