    All,

just got off the phone with toyota parts and am trying to get the slide out cargo tray for my '18 TDR Off Road. Parts personnel stated that unless it was installed PRIOR to delivery, there is no way to install it now. Am I crazy or does that seem like a very un-knowledgeable parts person. Any suggestions?

There are threads on this in the forum. Parts guy is right. You're only real option is to get the tray and all the parts from someone who no longer wants theirs, or from a wreck. It's a bit of a project to install, too.

Thanks for the info. I am now looking at DIY mods that include the fold out tray. Hard to believe they cant add this mod at the toyota shop

It can be added and the mounting holes exist but if the slide out tray did not come as original equipment then you will have to drill through the floor of the rear area. There are threaded holes for drawer installation where people had to drill through the “pot metal” that covers the threaded holes.

I recently drilled through the metal to locate those 2 threaded holes to install my my ARB drawers.

I've got one in Northwest Florida that I want to remove. It's black and from a 2018 Pro. I have it up on Marketplace for $500.

Honestly, it is not that hard to install as a DIY. One just have to take care in drilling through to the already-tapped holes in the rear and even that is simple. I've done this twice already and have had no issues.
