Im having an issue with acceleration.. My engine light will blink and then stay on.. During this hard press on the pedal i will feel hesitation while im increasing speed. After a while my engine light will go off.. Seems like my gas milage has suffering also 30 40 miles per tank.. Any thoughts? Thanks to you all..

Snag the code before it goes out!

It could be a bunch of things.

Fuel Filter/Fuel Pump is not performing.

Misfire due to bad plugs/wires. Usually this evens out in higher RPMs.

TPS has bad spots/connection in the places that the computer is trying to determine where the pedal is.

Could either be FUEL filter or your CAT is clogged up. I bought my 99 from a kid who had the same prob. The cat was honey combed 100% and it restricted airflow 100%. FIXED IT.
