    Hi Guys,

My first post here! I just bought a 2021Runner Limited and I love all the exterior lights except for the DRL yellow lights. I want to switch them off to LED but everywhere I search they say its not compatible. I even bought some from XenonDepot which I am returning today and those did not work either.

Any suggestions? Anyone have a 2021 Limited and why I mention limited is because the Xenondepot lights worked on my brothers 2021 trd off road but not on my limited.

Has anyone had luck with there 2021 limited DRL lights to LED.

    Thankyou in advance!

Can you explain why they didn't work?

They didn't light up at all? or they did not dim in DRL mode? Just curious what went wrong and see if we can help.

XenonDepot was the only option worked for me with DRL option. All others were too bright for a DRL.

You used the DRL driver not the regular driver right?

    Hello,

No, once both were connected it did not work. The limited DRL are just DRL not high beam.

if I left the factory light on and just connect one of the XenonDepot light it turned on but once I connect both they don’t work. I’m assuming it needs a stronger ballast but I could be wrong.

    I don't know how 2021 Limited works :(

But on my 2019 Limited both DRL and High beam are same bulb. Also I connected only the DRL driver (not both drivers) as shown on my video.

Curious to see how 2021 Limited DRL and Highbeam is. According to Toyota site 2021 Limited has LED High beams as well.

Would be awesome to see some pics of the back and front of the headlight housing. Very interesting....

I'm in the same boat. What about just changing the bulbs to white ones? Not LEDs. That's what I was thinking. Or Amber colored if I can find them. Not totally sure that would look good though. Not sure why they didn't just make a full LED headlight assembly.

    Monochrome everything. LED reverse lights.
In 2020 they changed the electrical system and I don’t think many companies have made much for them yet. But it will catch up.

Well I'll just state the obvious...

What bulb does the 2021 4Runner Limited use (should be listed in the user's manual) for the DRL?

Once you find that out, OP, go buy an LED version of that bulb.

Of course the "DRL Bulb" from a 2021 TRD OR won't work, because on the TRD OR the DRL and the high-beam share the same bulb, whereas that is not the case on the 2021 Limited (or PRO).
