My "professionally" installed rear fold-down entertainment center was installed on an "on-only" hot wire, so whenever I shut the 4runner off the DVD instantly dies. I either have to keep it running or force my kids through a reboot to continue whatever scene they were watching. The kid who installed it swore there was no "delay-off" circuit in the entire 4runner. Before I go poking around to see for myself:

    1. is there a delay-off wire I can tap into, ideally in the ceiling or in/near fuse panel?
    2. is there a better/easier solution than a 12V DC Relay Timer Module to turn an always on wire into a "delay off"?

My end goal is to be able to shut off the engine and have the DVD player going for a few seconds while I push the start button to switch it over to aux power with then engine off so the DVD doesn't get interrupted. Any alternative suggestions welcome.
