I would like to start off by saying hello to everyone in the community ! Newbie here just joined and just purchased a 2021 4Runner TRD off-road it currently has 2.5k miles so it’s barely broken in . I am already having serious problems with the suspension or something . It feels like I have 4 flat tires and the front end has dropped 1/2”-1”. It is very hard to control on the pavement due to excessive body roll .
I live in mountain center and have 6 miles of dirt roads anytime I leave the house . The roads are badly washboarded (rippled) but I’ve never done anything more extreme than dirt roads . Seems like my shocks should be able to handle that sort of stuff but feels like they no longer are giving any dampening to the springs .

Anybody that really knows suspension on these vehicles That is willing to offer any help I really will appreciate your time and knowledge Thank you

Interesting. Can you take video of what is happening? Sounds very odd.

Have you taken it to the dealer? It’s brand new, they’ll be able to troubleshoot much better than anyone on here.

Welcome from Wisconsin! You should take it to the dealership, tell them what is happening.

that sounds pretty odd. Are you driving it like there is no tomorrow?
    Any leaks by the shocks?

The stock Tokico shocks aren't the best to begin with. 6 miles of washboards could definitely cause them to overheat and fade (depending on how fast you're going). Add another 6 miles to get home and those shocks are doing some serious overtime. Are you going along at a pretty good clip over these washboards?

For your situation, I think aftermarket remote reservoir shocks would be your best option. You can look into Bilstein 6112/5160's as a less expensive option........ but you'd probably be better off with a 2.5" coilover with reservoirs from ADS, King, or Elka in the front and matching 2.5" shocks with reservoirs in the rear.

welcome just get under the your ride and do a inspection yourself see if you see any leaks then get app. at the dealer and have it checked out if nothing wrong with the suspension then you need to upgrade it to something that will work for you. Good luck

My guess is that you've killed your stock shocks because, really, the 4Runner is built from the factory for the "weekend warrior" at best. Driving on washboard roads every day is just not what it's built for. Unless you crawl through those 6 miles (5 MPH), I see upgraded suspension in your future. Letting some air out of the tires would help, too. Obviously that's a lot of work to do two to four times a day, but you gotta pay to play!
