Couple of quick questions here. I've got a decently modified 2013 Tacoma - full ADS suspension, front and rear plate bumpers etc.

I'm looking to perhaps join the 5th gen T4R crowd and do a long travel build, plate bumpers etc. and I do not want to deal with any of the safety features (adaptive cruise, emergency braking, TSS) hindering my choices in equipment.

Am I correct in my understanding that 2019's were the last year before all of the electronic assist safety features became standard?

    Monochrome everything. LED reverse lights.
Yes. Get a 2019 or earlier if you don’t want that stuff.

Thanks man! I've been to a couple of dealers looking at 2020's and 2021's and despite trying to get a straight answer on whether TSS can be deleted or not I keep getting the runaround.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
There's a particular TSB document floating around detailing how to disable it. It might be discussed here or on the other big 4Runner forum or both. You still would have the sensor brick thing on the grill, but if you're planning on getting an aftermarket bumper big enough to encroach on its space then you would just be getting rid of it physically anyway.

I'll see if I can dig that up. Yes - the plan would be for a full plate with the TSS sensor deleted entirely.
