I am trying to decide between the DD Luxeon fogs vs the OEM that Toyota sells, known to be made by Valeo (China or Mexico, but sold as OEM; the Japanese version is more expensive and comes in singles)
Any of them would be a definite improvement over stock halogens.
If anybody has any experience with them, any input is much appreciated.

I have the option of buying them from Amazon.ca so the warranty is not as good as DD at 3 years. I am interested in the performance as well.

I only saw a note about the stock OEM being 320 lumens vs the DD at 600, but these numbers mean nothing without hands on experience; candela 4006 vs the DD at Intensity (cd): 5262 cd (stock at 2225 - https://trail4runner.com/2019/03/11/oem-led-4runner-fog-light-upgrade/)

Just a thought.. Me personally if I spend money for fog lights I would like to look at something like BD squadron SAE. They are bright and road legal too right?

Are you dead set on just those two or have you researched other options?

These show up in the price range I can afford for this upgrade, they are decent and come from reputable manufacturers.

Its definitely good thing to keep your research. People like myself try cheap options and end up buying good ones later which is a 2 time spending. For example this is my cheap light bar and pods. You can see they are equally or less powerful than my LED headlights. LED from BD or other good companies will be far better than these.
(I haven't had a chance to test put a video on the pods yet. I will share my experience hoping it helps others.)

Just throwing another option into the ring, the Morimoto XB Fog Lights. They look very similar to the Luxeon but have black "bezels".

I've had them since 2016 and they've been perfect.

It depends also what you need that much light for, I don't see myself needing THAT much. Nice to have, sure, but where am I going to use it ?
Your setup would be more than sufficient for my needs :)

I like those too, so easy to go little by little into double your initial cost :)
Plus, now you made me debate what I need, fog or driving...
DD is the one I keep coming back to.

Haha yeah I hear ya. I sit here thinking I’ll get the OEM’s. Then think “well, for $70 more I can get the DD sports. But if I’m gonna spend $200, should I just get the pros?”

To me, the stock high beam is plenty. So I’d opt for DD fogs due to their ability to light to the sides better.

Driving lights would be nice. But I don’t “need” them.

Bigger A/T LT Tires, Slight Lift, Sliders, Rack, Lights, etc.
Go for the DD SS3 Sports. They're the best option. Better focus than the more powerful versions, too. They're really where it's at. The brighter versions are brighter, but not as efficient. If you don't need extreme light, Sports are incredible value. All that said, one other advantage to the Pros, or the new Extreme's or whatever they're called, is that the more powerful versions get hotter which can help "de-ice" them in the winter, if that is of concern where you live.

The only fog I'd recommend other than the Sports is the OEM because they're so inexpensive, and still an upgrade of sorts.

I believe I paid $180 for my DD SS3 Sport, so I wouldn't even consider the Luxeons unless you just hate the way the SS3's look.

BTW, the Baja's are "kind of" street legal.. they recently revised their design to try to be street legal but their application for that is so poor, and they cost so much more, that IMO they're a silly choice now. DD simply came to the market and beat out Baja when it comes to actual FOG lights.

Do the sports get light out to the sides? Ditches?

Diode Dynamic SS3 are my choice... Had BD and the quality of the product was horrible, especially for the cost. Quality control issues. The DD have been amazing, less expensive and their service was amazing.
