    2016 4Runner Trail Premium
    New..nothing yet
Today I picked up my 2016 4 Runner Trail Premium. Traded my Jeep Rubicon because either I"m getting old and that was just such a beating to drive. I was coming back from Colorado after Christmas.... getting 12.5 mpg, Goodyear MTR's howling like a bear, not being able to talk on the phone and I said to my wife...this is gone....

Anyone looking for some new Trail Wheels with Bridgestone Duelers let me know...Dallas area and will be available next wk.... They will have less than a 150 miles on them.

Interesting...some guys were asking how long it takes to order and get delivery...mine was about 3 weeks....not bad....

Now I need your help.... I always over build crap.. I need this 4 runner to be drivable and useful for ugly weather... off roading is going to mild... If I say anything about lifting in the future, drive to Allen Texas and beat me to a pulp.... I had an old Rubicon with 6 inch lift, drove like a monster truck, then bought a new one, and put a 3 inch lift, but hose kevlar sidewall Goodyears made it feel like a lumber truck.....

Good group of people on this forum......so far I bought myself the following:

    Black Trd Wheels
    Ordered Some Nitto G2's
    Ordered a Bajarack
    Ordered a Slimline winch bumper....

Great list started but i have a 2016 4 RT Premium w/KDSS and you would be amazed how nice it rides with a 3-2 Bilstien lift not spacers.
Add to your list the lift you'll love it.

Another reformed Jeep owner has come to the light. Welcome Sir. You will be happy with the Runner. Never having to worry about if it will make it will be a nice change. I know we do allot of lower intake jobs in our shop on the new Jeeps and that 3.8 V6. Anyhow- If your ever up in MO hit us up.

My previous vehicle was a Wrangler Sport on 33.5x12.50x15 Duratracs (6spd manual). I reluctantly came over to the dark side but I have enjoyed it. I do miss my Jeep every day but the 4Runner has been nice.

Well, the eventual repair bills. I was fortunate enough to not have any issues in the 36k miles I had it but the engine headers were doomed to fail. But yeah, I have much greater confidence in my 4R based on Toyota's track record and the build quality seems much better (the Jeep had such cheap shitty plastic everywhere).

I really only miss the 6spd manual on a daily basis. I do kinda hate that I'm limited to 17" or larger wheels thanks to the 4R's brake calipers. I prefer the smaller wheel diameters, like the 15s my Jeep had, since I like more sidewalls. But, that's just personal preference. I also wish my 4R got 1,000MPGs, did 0-60 in 3secs and I could crap gold bars but it is what it is.
