    Hi All,

for sale is a complete TRD Pro roof rack, taken off a few days ago, it has about 2000 miles on the car, but was never used.

Comes with all mounting pieces (minus sealant patches) and cross bars, even though they are not included in the picture. I think it can be taken apart more for transport, if that's needed, just haven't tried.

For pickup in the SF Bay Area for $500 cash.

Do you know where I can get sealant patches, and if this rack would fit on at '18 SR5? TIA

Would you ship the roof rack at my expense?

You probably wouldn't want that. Shipping has become incredibly expensive for private persons. I don't know how much it would be, but after having shipped a few (much smaller) motorcycle parts in the last six months, my take is that it's not worth it. Where are you located?

If you haven’t sold it can you see much it costs to ship to Prescott valley, Arizona?

It isn't sold, but I'm not willing to ship it. It's too large, I have no professional packing materials, it's going to be expensive. If I can't sell it at least somewhat local (I'm happy to meet in the middle over a weekend or so), I'll take it completely apart and put it in the shed.

Yeah unfortunately the rack doesn't get that small, even when taken apart. The shipping box that Toyota uses (I bought a new one) was HUGE and had special foam glued inside it to *try to* keep the rack from moving around and scratching up. And as the OP has already noticed and pointed out, shipping items is now for the big dawgs only, apparently. Prices for consumers without a major contract are just insane all of the sudden.

BTW, OP, there is a parts kit that can be ordered from Toyota for install.. I think it's about $60.. maybe less. That should come with all of the bolts and washers needed. Then that just leaves brackets (that sit down in the rails) which are also needed, but you may have yours depending on what rack you switched to.

There's a price to be paid for not being able to shop in person. Logistics companies are way overbooked, so prices go up for everybody who doesn't have negotiated pricing and enough weight to get reasonable pricing.

It'll get better again at some point, when capacities are not completely booked out and companies are trying to fill the rides again.

Thanks, California. We shoppin' in person over here!!

    (I kid lol.)

But really, I think this started before COVID. As price-shopping and internet buying has raised over the past 20 years, I've watched shipping prices do the same (more so than gas-prices). Amazon needs to just go ahead and buy UPS already. ;-)

That would actually make it worse since Amazon has no interest in us shipping used goods around. But we digress. ;-)

Hehe oh it was just a joke. That was my point.. and that they practically already own UPS hence the current consumer rates.

    Cheers.

Ouch. The last time I shipped a seat it was 60 bucks. No matter where, USPS, UPS were the same, FedEx was a bit more. But that was early last summer.
