Just finished cleaning my headliner after a year it was full of black sooth. Was wondering if having the exhaust coming out the side instead of the back makes any difference?

I believe it does help, also if you have a moon roof you can crack that a bit, it will help it to flow out the back.

    Welcome.

I have not experienced this, but the obvious solution to your problem lies in post #2.

    Welcome to the forum!

The rear window definitely sucks in exhaust fumes at times. You can usually open or close the front windows to get it to stop.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Do like SlvrSlug said; create a airflow, or you could close it.
