The backup camera in my 2012 4Runner works sometimes. How might I get it to work all the time?

I have a 2014 Limited with the same problem, did you find a solution? One place I read about noted the cable runs through a sensitive area under the dash and suffered from some EMF interference. He put a sheathing on the cable and it worked well thereafter. Another friend says just replace the camera...

I also have 2014 trail with same problem. It seems that trouble area is top of tailgate wire connection. Give a thumb push, it will work. I will open that section soon, and will provide more information.

Thank you, I gave it a go and no problems yet, but the entire thing was intermittent anyway. Hopefully it holds up, and I'll look for your other information when you post too.
