Yes, I know buying a 4WD is the best approach. A few years ago I got an awesome deal on a 2002 SR5 2WD with 59k miles. I couldn't pass it up. Now, I looking to see if converting to a 4WD is worth the effort. Anyone done this? Or, have input as to whether it is worth the effort and expense?

    Thanks for the input!

Probably will make your awesome deal not so awesome honestly.

Unless you plan on doing all the parts sourcing and work your self.

I am sure it can be done but be prepared for parts finding and I am sure it would be labor intensive. Do a search on the internet, I am sure there are people who have done that. Here is one, but the guy went way above and beyond what you plan on doing.
