    Hi All,

I have been enjoying a new to me 4runner sport and the V8 is a fun truck. Gas millage sucks but I'm ok with it. The previous owner replaced the factory stereo with Alpine head unit and I just don't like how it looks and does not even sound good. I also see under the passenger seat some items installed amp etc.. He also has connected something to the glass antenna for the radio. I want to rip out everything and go back to the original stereo and can pick up a used Toyota head unit from E-bay. I'm not a audio guy and need to get a local shop to install but was wondering since the stereo has been upgraded can I still do that? It should only be connections correct?
    Thanks

Hey hey mate! Actually, if he replaced it and did it correctly, he should have used interface adapters to connect the Alpine to your OEM connectors. The best way of determining this would be to pull the radio out and have a look.

    Cheers,

    Sean
